About me!

Hi! My name is Kiefer Cottrell and I am Shadow Phoenix Illustration. I'm an illustrator who's work is deeply rooted into Fantasy, Horror, Sci-fi, or generally anything that goes against the natural confines of reality.

I love working in both traditional and digital mediums, but I have taken a mixed approach when it comes to the creation of my pieces, creating the linework through traditional mediums, and adding colour digitally, to give the images colour a clean finish.

Being a student at Wolverhampton School of Art, I haven't had much in the way of commission work, other than doing portraits for individuals in my local area, so building a list of clientele is something I'm working on.

In a world where we are working alongside the use of A.I., I believe that it is important to leave the art to the humans, as nothing beats the stylised work of an illustrator or an artist, and A.I. just takes the passion out of anything created. Creativity is an important thing to have in the world, and that is why I wish to share my work with all of you amazing people.
